Milestone was established in 1996 in Milan, and still today it represents the biggest Italian developer of PC and Console games. Milestone has established a reputation for quality that is unmatched in Italian video game development. It is recognised at an international level as one of the best development teams in the racing sector, both on- and off-road.

The members of the highly skilled creative team share a passion for the world of cars and motorcycles. Over the last few years the team has been responsible for titles that have made racing game history, including “Screamer”, “Moto GP ‘08”, the “Superbike” series, and, since 2010, the official videogames of the World Rally Championship. Over the years Milestone have collaborated with numerous eminent companies, including publishers like Atari, Black Bean Games, Capcom, Electronic Arts and Virgin.

The defining characteristic of Milestone’s work is a meticulous approach to every aspect of development: the attention to detail is apparent in everything, from the driving and riding dynamics to vehicle physics, from the detailed reconstruction of the scenery to sampling the engine sounds.

Every single detail is object of extreme cure, thanks to the strict collaboration with engineers from the most prestigious car and motorbike manufacturers. The aim is to give the player, newcomer or expert, the sensation to drive a real car or bike.

The team are currently working on three officially licensed products: MUD FIM Motocross World Championship, the official game of the Motocross World Championship; SBK Generations, the most ambitious game dedicated to the Superbike phenomenon ever created; and WRC FIA World Rally Championship 3, the official game of the World Rally Championship, scheduled for October 2012.

Milestone, made up of about 100 people, covers the role of both developer and publisher of its own products on the European market.
The pairing of the marketing and sales team with Milestone’s technical and artistic soul provides a great impetus to the company’s production capacity, as well as to the quality of the products, which are ever more responsive to market demands.

Milestone is currently engaged in broadening the range of platforms supported by its games: beyond continuing to develop for Sony’s and Microsoft’s traditional consoles and for PC, today the company is developing on the PS Vita and is on the route that will lead to development for the new WiiU, PlayStation®4 and Xbox720® consoles. A significant new development for the company is the creation of a new team entirely dedicated to the mobile, tablet and digital market, particularly iOS.
